cutting out.

she wished she could

blip in

and out

of existence.

to not exist
if only for a few moments.
to be removed to a
clean, quiet, non-reality
the hum of white noise
removed completely
like the power gone out
on a stormy night.

at once
a flourescent light
with its twitching,
its buzzing,
its burning,

and then

to self-extinguish
gone like a night-burglary
out of a tiny shop window
leaving no trace.

occasionally and momentarily

in and out

just for a moment.
